Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for starting modern scientific studies of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman, who has many papers and grants, is also the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She has offered advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments across the world. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
