Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar, the American and British sitarist. She is the youngest female and was the first person to be awarded a British House of Commons shield. Anoushka is the new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She's a child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She spent her childhood bouncing around from London and New Delhi. When she was 13 she performed her first show in New Delhi. Then she relocated to Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha even though she is just 17 years old, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She is often seen performing together with her dad, and has performed with him for a long time years. She released her debut album in 1998. debuted Anourag as her first album as a solo artist. The following year, she released the Grammy nomination-winning Live in Carnegie Hall. She has appeared at many major venues around the globe. Anoushka's career goes beyond music.
